George III Inlaid Mahogany Hanging Cutlery Box and Candle Box

Early 19th century, both of tapering rectangular form with integral fret carved hanging pediment, hinged upper panel, and open interior, the smaller with mixed wood marquetry inlays to the front panel of a carving set, cockbead carved edges, lid, and flush base (17 x 6 3/4 x 4 in.); the larger featuring harlequin banded mixed wood inlaid border to the obverse panel (18 x 7 1/2 x 6 3/4 in.).

Smaller with tight crack to the back panel; some age appropriate scratches and nicks; larger with spotting to interior.
