Cecil Beaton (1904-1980), who worked as a documentary photographer for the British Ministry of Information during World War II, famously photographed Churchill during his first term in office. Beaton, best known for his fashion and celebrity photographs, was also an important war photographer, capturing approximately 7,000 influential and powerful images in both Britain and overseas.
