Circa 1840, mahogany veneer, embossed green leather panels, hinged lid with interior hinged lid and porcelain liner, lower skirt pulls-out to reveal a lower leather step, turned legs.

Old but later leather with staining and wear; sun fading; later porcelain liner; lid with veneer shrinkage cracks at border.
