Wool and silk, English or Continental, 2nd half 19th century; the first a depiction of the holy family in a landscape, worked in cross stitch, tacked to a stretcher and framed; the second a depiction of Mary with baby Jesus on her lap, with a black background, worked in all wool in cross stitch, tacked to a stretcher and framed in a wide wooden frame.
The first 22 1/2 x 28 framed dimensions, sight size 17 x 23.
The second 25 1/4 x 29 1/2 framed dimensions, sight size 18 x 22 1/4.
