18th century, three part form, oak secondary, dentil trim cornice with vertically veneered frieze, two hinged blind panel doors with astragal molding, louvered shelf interior, the bureau with hinged slant lid and loper supports, the interior with central hinged prospect doors, document drawers (one with hidden compartment), pigeon holes, secret valance drawers, and small fitted drawers, the case with two over three graduated lipped drawers, ogee bracket foot base.

Cornice with small cut-out at front right; slant lid with patches near lock; later pulls in the original holes; interior document drawer lacking rear panel; shrinkage cracks to lower case sides; later ogee feet.
