Both chairs circa 1760, the first chair in walnut with shaped crest featuring relief carved volutes, shaped vasiform back splat, molded shoe, slip seat, molded seat rail, turned stretcher base, molded pad foot (38.5 x 21.5 x 20.5 in., seat height 17.5 in.); the second chair in mahogany with shaped crest, vasiform back splat, molded shoe, slip seat, turned stretcher base, raised pad foot, down-swept rear legs with chamfered corners (38.5 x 22 x 20 in., seat height 17 in.).
