The earrings in a teardrop design, set with a bezel set pear shaped mabé pearl (23.6 x 15.4mm) within a hematite surround, completed with posts and omega clip backs, stamped Cummings Angela 18K.

Mabé pearls display a white bodycolor with rose overtones, good luster, lightly spotted surface, and acceptable nacre.

Angela Cummings is a jeweler recognized for her sculptural, nature‑inspired designs and innovative inlay work. In 1967 she joined Tiffany & Co. and rose to acclaim, launching her own named collection there in 1974 that prominently featured inlaid materials such as jade, lapis, mother‑of‑pearl, and blackened steel using damascening techniques. In 1984 she and her husband founded Angela Cummings Inc., establishing a designer fine‑jewelry boutique at Bergdorf Goodman and later expanding her work internationally and into accessories and tableware.

Good estate condition; repaired damage to hematite along bottom of one earring, cracks still visible, but stable.
