Hair pins from the 19th century Meiji period (1868 - 1912) to include: one in silver featuring a flat, circular, two-sided ornament with chrysanthemum motif (1 3/8 in.), completed with a slender two-pronged fork, stamped with a maker's mark and XRF testing silver (7 11/16 x 5/8 in.); and one with a circular, two-sided ornament featuring seven Paulownia crests (1 in.), with bee and pomegranate motif, completed with a slender two-pronged fork, stamped with a maker's mark and XRF testing silver-plate and gold-plate (7 3/16 x 1/8 in.).
