After Jean Goujon (French, circa 1510-1567), French Patinated Bronze Bust of Diane de Poitiers (1499-1566)

Circa 1900, cast by Ferdinand Barbidienne, stamped with the Achille Collas pastille "A. COLLAS BREVETE / REPRODUCTION MECHANIQUE" to the verso and inscribed "F. BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR" to the solder, Diane depicted bare shouldered with elaborated braided tresses gazing dexter, mounted atop an onyx socle.
