Private Collection, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Thomas Dalton Beaumont was a Canadian-born painter active in the United States. Early in his career he worked as an art restorer in Camden, New Jersey around 1910. By 1915, he had relocated to San Francisco, where he remained active as a painter into the 1930s. He also spent time painting in Columbus, Ohio, New York, and Richmond, Virginia. Due to the economic downturn of the Great Depression, Beaumont eventually returned to Canada later in life. He is best known for his naturalistic and sporting art paintings of dogs, horses, and other subjects.
