Private Collection, Charlotteville, Virginia Robert Cleminson was a British painter active during the late Victorian period, best known for sporting and animal subjects. He worked primarily in oil and focused on scenes featuring Highland deer, hunting dogs, horses, and game birds, often set in Scottish landscapes. Cleminson exhibited his work at the British Institution and the Society of British Artists in London.
