Colin Graeme was from the Sheffield area and is thought to be the son of Robert Henry Roe. It is believed that he had a falling out with his family, which accounts for why he signed his paintings both "Colin Graeme Roe" and "Colin Graeme."

Faint stretcher marks; minor spot retouch in upper right sky visible under UV light; small bulge to upper right corner, likely due to accretion between stretcher bar and canvas; minor cracking and rubbing to frame.
