England, late 18th century, arched brass face, 11 3/4-inch round steel dial engraved with Arabic and Roman chapters signed "Henry Hopkins / DEPTFORD" between the subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, lunette with silent and strike options, all surrounded by scrolled gilt brass ornamentation, operated by a dual train weight driven movement with suspension spring pendulum and two weights; set within a mahogany case, oak secondary, hood featuring fluted fully turned and brass mounted front columns, and posterior quarter columns, supporting an arched cornice and brass orb and spire finials, over a cove molded trunk with brass mounted fluted quarter column stiles, raised panel base with carved skirt and molded bracket feet.

82 1/2 x 21 x 10 1/2 in.
