English Chippendale Carved Mahogany Armchair

Circa 1770, oak rear seat rail, shaped crest rail with scrolled ears and acanthus carving, pierced intwined back splat, molded shoe, slip seat, flush molded seat rail with gadrooned front bottom edge, cabriole front legs with acanthus carved knee on ball and claw feet.

38 x 26 x 22 in., seat height 17.5 in.
