Hiroshi Yoshida (Japanese, 1876-1950), Waiting for the Tide

Dated Showa 5 (1930), ink and colors on paper, woodblock print, signed in Japanese together with a red artist Hiroshi seal to lower right corner of print, pencil signed with title to lower margin in English and Hiroshi Yoshida, jizuri (self-published) mark together with date and title in Japanese to left margin, presented under glass professionally framed with a mat in a dark wood frame with rounded corners.

Frame dimensions 16 3/4 x 20 3/4 in., Sight size 10 x 15 1/4 in.

Purchased in Japan during the late 1940s.

Very good color and impression; not examined outside of the frame.
