Emile Noirot first studied under his father, Louis Noirot, before continuing his training with François-Louis Français, Charles Daubigny, and Alexandre Cabanel. He also attended the Académie Julian and was influenced by the advice of the painter Auguste Ravier. Noirot began exhibiting in Paris in 1874 and later showed regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1889 onward, while also exhibiting internationally in cities including London, Brussels, Venice, Chicago, and St. Petersburg. He received medals at several international exhibitions between 1889 and 1900 and was named a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in 1902.
