The artist, a native of Asheville, North Carolina, earned a BA in Fine Arts from North Carolina Central University in Durham and was a professional illustrator for the U. S. Air Force. His paintings are widely exhibited, including work in the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection at Temple University, Philadelphia.
