19th century, painted and gilt wood face, with later spring driven two-train movement, case with mahogany veneers, broken arch pediment with brass urn finials, églomisé panel with urn and weeping foliage decoration, flanked by fully turned columns, raised on shaped bracket feet, retaining label for Eli Terry (American, 1772-1852) to interior.

By Descent of the late Thaddeus Watkins of Maryland and Eastern North Carolina Repair and area of veneers loss to right side foot; scattered veneers cracks; dial with rubbing and two patches from previous winding holes; replaced brass spring driven movement; toning and losses to label.
