Qing dynasty (1644-1912), late 18th or early 19th century, velvet embroidered with polychrome silk, gold and silver wrapped thread, four vertical panels hand sewn together decorated with Buddhist lions frolicking amongst large peony blooms, flowering melons, pomegranates, and Buddha's Hand citron against a red ground, framed in lucite.

Frame dimensions 50 x 70 x 1 1/4 in.
