Stephen Shortridge was born in Idaho and raised in Southern California. He was a successful TV and film actor in the 1980s and 1990s, but painting was always his true passion. Shortridge is best known for his "Romantic Impressionism" and counts John Singer Sargent and Joaquín Sorolla as his greatest influences.
