19th century, English and French, including two round hand-painted and lacquered mache patch or snuff boxes, the first with fox head on a olive green ground (3 1/2 in. diameter), and the second a still life hunted game hare and pheasant (3 3/4 in.); a longer rectangular wooden box, with transfer decorated hunting dogs with lyre and medallion patterned borders (1 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 2 3/4 in.); a tole box in rectangular form with convex ends, transfer printed portrait of a huntsman with two hounds (5 1/2 x 3 in.); the fifth an oval black tole box with gilt borders and central phrase "Success / To Trade" (4 3/4 x 2 7/8 in.).

Age appropriate handling wear and scratches; areas of crazing and crackle to toleware and still life boxes; a few small areas of paint/lacquer loss.
