Silk on linen, American, 1839, worked in cross stitch and four sided stitch, with pious poem in two registers, with alphabet above, with house, tree, birds, and fruitful baskets below, surrounded by double border of trailing floral and berry motifs, framed under glass with rust red velvet mat and carved wooden frame.
