Large Victorian Carved Oak Barber Shop Cabinet

Late 19th century, two part form with removable cornice, applied carving and incised decoration, upper recessed cabinet with (92) cubby holes for shaving mugs flanked by 3/4 turned columns, the lower cabinet with two drawers over two hinged cabinet doors, flush base.

108 x 68 x 13 in., cubby holes 6 x 5 x 5.25 in.

An unusual form featuring burl wood veneers throughout.

As found estate condition; cornice is detached; overall dry surface with staining and wear throughout; lacking original cabinet doors; lower right cabinet cubby holes missing original dividers; no key; lacking pulls.
