American, wool and linen, circa mid-20th century adaptation of the "Penny Rug," probably intended as a table runner, well-stitched in the form of a six pointed star, with green, black, and ochre discs appliqued to larger maroon discs, appliqued to natural linen, all edged with blanket stitch in assorted green and yellow thread, backed with striped wool, the terminals weighted with rubber gaskets likely from canning jars, unsigned.

Some staining to the reverse; hole to backing.
