Cleveland, Georgia, 1997, glazed stoneware, tall crock form with loop and lug handle, decorated in sculptural grape vine, incised signature and date to the underside.

Wilford Dean (1938-2018) was a well known and respected potter working in Cleveland, GA. His wife, Nan, (1936-2019) worked with him creating her own pottery pieces as well as collaborating with Wilford. They worked at their pottery for a number of years before they retired to open a fish pond.

Good estate condition; underside with some minor chips.
