Serial number 5205 present on bottom of frame butt, text of IM MERWIN & BRAY NEW YORK present along top rib of 5 3/8 in. octagon barrel, text of PATENDED JULY 12, 1859 & JULY 21, 1863 present on cylinder, brass frame, steel cylinder and barrel, case ejection rod, walnut grip scales.
