Vernon Haskie is a Navajo jeweler and silversmith from Lukachukai, Arizona, celebrated for intricate, multidimensional inlay work in sterling silver and gold with turquoise and coral. Taught by his father, noted silversmith and tribal leader Leonard Haskie, he made his first pendant at nine, later developing his metalworking skills independently through practice. His hallmark “Vernon Haskie” pieces—bracelets, pendants, bolo ties, and other one‑of‑a‑kind designs—often feature traditional Navajo imagery inspired by the land. He has received top honors at major Native arts shows, including Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market, and his work is held in prominent museums such as the Heard Museum, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and Pueblo Grande Museum.
