Model ship built by John Chandler III, composed of wood with painted and gilt decoration, cloth, string, and metal, together with separate gilt wooden display mount and stand, the model sporting 24 gunports, the lifeboat marked "INTREPID" otherwise unmarked.

Private Collection, Greensboro, North Carolina Hand built by Dr. John E Chandler III of Greensboro, NC. John graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1967, and was a life long artisan who used his dentistry skills to build with exquisite detail more than 15 ship models. One of his models, the Elizabeth Il has been displayed in the NC Museum in Raleigh and is now part of the permanent collection in the Historical Museum in Manteo.
Chipping and scratching to paint, some light staining to cloth sails, stern with broken components around sail, a couple of figures broken and now lost; posterior panel of display stand with losses.
