The first depicting a young child in a landscape, presented within a black and gilt eglomise panel within a gilt frame, illegible script to paper backing, retaining an old hand-written label reading "dear Doris / from / Grandfather / 1906" affixed to the backing (Frame dimensions 13 1/4 x 10 1/2 in.) (toning to silk and several small fractures to silk in sky); the second based on "A Blind Girl of Rome" by J. Northcote and engraved by T. Gaugain, the print dating to 1794 illustrates the use of dogs for the visually impaired even in the 18th century, retaining a label for W. Russell Button Gallery of Chicago to the verso, presented under a black and gilt eglomise panel in a later gilt frame (Frame dimensions 13 1/2 x 11 1/4 in.) (toning to silk, overall in good estate condition).
