Ellen Hathaway is a contemporary North Carolina artist whose luminous abstract paintings explore themes of hope, renewal, and transformation. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of nature and her Christian faith, Hathaway creates richly layered compositions of expressive color, texture, and mixed media that invite quiet contemplation. A self-taught artist with degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Virginia, her work is held in private and public collections throughout the United States and has been exhibited by galleries across North Carolina, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
