Late 18th century, curly oak, pine and oak secondary, brass face with applied pierced brass scrolling spandrels, engraved 11-inch round dial signed "Pet.r Grimadell / Stamford Fecit" with calendar aperture, operated by a dual train weight driven movement with suspension spring pendulum, striking on a cast iron bell, hood with two 3/4 turned columns, cove molded trunk with flush molded and waist door, atop a carved bracket foot base. Includes two weights, pendulum, and winding key.

86 1/2 x 22 1/4 x 11 3/4 in.

Crack to hood glass; hood upper cornice with stabilizing brackets at the mitre; later wood panel under movement; case with small scattered areas of old insect damages, edge nicks, and crack to base panels; without case key. Please see Terms and Conditions of Sale: Clocks and Watches.
