Dark blue wool, Chasseur style with leather visor, gilt embroidered with buttons to the sides, the first cap circa 1860s, with hand-sewn 35th Infantry Regiment hunting horn badge featuring state crest buttons for Massachusetts, possibly Civil War regiment or post-war volunteer militia; the second cap likely late 19th century, the obverse with gilt "527" regiment flanked by laurel wreath, interior retaining NY state seal buttons, with maker's trademark stamp of "WM. H. HORSTMAN COMPANY / PHILADELPHIA" to the interior. Together with two iron and wood hat forms.

Approximately 3 x 10 x 7 1/2 in.

Overall good condition with expected surface wear to wool, leather, and lining elements; the first cap's buttons with oxidation greening.
