Circa 2015, salt-glazed stoneware with olive green-brown alkaline glaze, signed "Matt / Jones " near the base, ovoid jar form with dual lug handles, featuring carved and white slip trailed designs of foliate and floral motifs interspersed with a large bird on branch, snake, insects, and toys inspired by the artist's childhood, mingling with anecdotal phrases related to the garden, all between decorative scalloped, floral, and band borders.

Jones Pottery is owned and operated by Matt and Christine Jones in the beautiful Big Sandy Mush valley of Leicester, North Carolina (just west of Asheville in Buncombe county). Edgefield pottery traditions as well as North Carolina pottery and historic Moravian ceramics are influences on Matt's oeuvre. His pottery has been featured in
