Vic Payne is a renowned figural sculptor working in bronze for over 40 years, with themes depicting the American West, wildlife, and Native American peoples. Vic's first introduction into sculpture began at the age of ten years old, when Vic's father left his job as a crop dusting pilot and moved to New Mexico to focus full time on painting and sculpting. His mother operated a foundry and cast some of Vic's first wax sculptures. Today Vic lives with his wife and four children on a 40-acre southern Colorado ranch, where his studio sits beside the Navajo River. His work is exhibited and collected throughout the country, including the permanent collections at Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, Artesia MainStreet Association, Booth Western Art Museum, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Dennis Weaver Memorial Park, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Mack Energy, Raymond James Financial Institution and Yates Petroleum.

Good estate condition; some minor bending to front quarter of gun barrel; a few small areas of light oxidation; base with minor surface spots.
