Gary Bowling is an American landscape painter whose work is held in numerous corporate, private, and museum collections, including the University of Iowa Stanley Art Museum and the Brunnier Art Museum. A recipient of a 1981 fellowship to Yaddo, Bowling is best known for his atmospheric oil paintings of the Midwest, particularly scenes of Missouri and Kansas, while also drawing inspiration from New Mexico and France.
