Likely Northern Germany, 17th century, rectangular case with iron lattice strapwork and wrought dual handles, the obverse panel featuring two hasps flanking a central ornate medallion false escutcheon, the hinged lid with upper key and escutcheon, open interior with elaborate large period rim lock mechanism to the lid, includes key.
