Salt glazed stoneware, signed J.A.C. near the neck, turned ovoid two gallon jug with loop handle, and slightly squared spout, featuring fine thick salt glaze runs emanating from the loop handle and shoulder, all over orange peel surface.

Overall good condition; some small firing pings; handle with underglaze flake; base with tight 5-inch hairline from the underside and branching upward along the side; another smaller 1 1/4-inch hairline along the base rim and vertical up the side.
