A Fine English Mahogany Tea Caddy with Field Artillery Inlay

Early 19th century, pine secondary, hinge-lidded rectangular form, the lid and obverse centering an inlaid oval with cannon and oak leaf decoration, surrounded by inlaid banded borders, opening to a red papered ceiling with twin lidded compartments.

4 1/2 x 8 x 4 5/8 in.

Good estate condition; some refinishing to the exterior; compartments retaining traces of the original tin lining.
