First published in French in March 1862, this second edition of the authorized English edition was published later that same year.

Lacking adverts at the end of vol. III; boards with rubbing, peeling to leather, and wear to extremities; light hinge cracking; overall clean text blocks with mild toning, occasional pencil notations, small stain, and light grime, and with infrequent handling wear and foxing (concentrated at endpapers and half-titles). An about very good and scarce set.
