Kirk Fanelly is an American contemporary artist born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He earned a BA in Visual Art from Brown University in 1999, also studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, and completed a fellowship at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at the Mint Museum, Davidson College, the Weatherspoon Art Museum, and the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. He received a North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship in 2010 and has works in the collections of Brown University and Davidson College. In 2026, the Mint Museum presented a solo exhibition surveying twenty-five years of his artistic career.
