Watercolor and ink on paper, 1940, signed and dated at lower right, with hand-written inscription below, matted and presented under UV Conservation Glass in an attractive metallic copper toned frame.

Frame dimensions 18 1/4 x 15 1/4 in.

The inscription reads:
The bird here depicted by Mr. E. J. Hoy, flew on board the steamship "Arabic" whilst in the Panama Region, in the Spring of 1940. It is now in the Southampton Aviaries, in the care of Mr. A. Moody. There are some thirty species, distributed over the warmer parts of the Old World, and are represented in America by members of the allied genus "Porphyrida," of which one species occur in Africa and Madagascar.

Good estate condition; not examined out of the frame.
