Jean LeCluyse was born in Kansas and earned a BFA in printmaking from the University of Kansas. During the course of her career as an artist, she worked as a farm laborer, cannery worker, and registered nurse. Jean apprenticed at a lithography workshop and later honed her drawing skills during many years as a freelance scientific illustrator.

Jean’s art has been featured in juried shows and exhibitions across North Carolina and the United States. Her work is regularly on view at FRANK Gallery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
