Callas's expressionist wood fired clay sculptures, vessels, and pottery forms are inspired by nature:

"Nature’s surfaces are the constant touchstone and catalyst serving my artistic vision with deliberation and a carefully cultivated receptiveness to the capabilities and caprices of clay."

Peter has held numerous solo exhibitions of his work, including recently at Belger Crane Art Studios, Kansas City, Missouri (2022); Elder Contemporary Art Gallery, Charlotte, North Carolina (2022); American Museum of Ceramic Art, Pomona, California (2022); and Schacht Gallery, Saratoga Clay Art Center, Saratoga, New York (2020).
