From the Collection of Ron W. Djuren, Durham, North Carolina Judy McLeod began her distinguished teaching career at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, where she taught Art Foundations, Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking. Her influence quickly grew to include graduate-level courses in VCU’s Master of Interdisciplinary Studies program. She continued to shape arts education through the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education and Charlottesville City Schools.
In 2010, McLeod embarked on the first of four voyages as a Studio Art instructor with UVA's Semester at Sea, a global program that deeply informs her creative practice with themes of place, expansion, and global interconnectedness.
A long-standing member of the McGuffey Art Center, McLeod has been a resident artist there for over twenty years.
