Val Bertoia is an avant-garde artist, best known for creating sound sculptures inspired by the integration of form, sound, space, and nature. Each sculpture creates their own musical experience, and is designed so that people of all ages can immediately interact.
Val studied Mechanical Engineering, graduating with a degree from the Indiana Institute of Technology. In the 1970s he worked alongside his father, the renowned 'Sonambient' sculptor, designer and installation artist Harry Bertoia (Italian/American, 1915-1978), as well as developing his own projects involving kinetic sculpture and engineered wind-electric systems. With the encouragement of his mother, Brigitta Bertoia, Val has continued the sculpture business of his father's legacy.

Good condition; crate with some surface wear.
