Five Studio Pottery Tea Bowls (Chawan), including Michelle Rhodes and Nora Safran

Glazed stoneware, unsigned, the first in slightly flared form, wheel turned with light gray glaze by Michelle Rhodes (3 x 6 1/4 in. diameter); the second in modern Karatsu style, gray glaze revealing circular skips of the clay beneath, unsigned (3 1/4 x 4 1/2 in.); the third and tallest by Kathy Morrison, in a modern shino glaze (3 3/8 x 4 1/4 in.); and the final two by Denise Nikas, with natural ash glaze.
