Serial number 10887, model designation of 1894 and U. S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY present on top of bolt-action receiver, 30 in. barrel with elevation adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight, side ammunition loading gate, manual safety, three sling loops, military style leather sling, steel buttplate with cleaning rod door, two sections of cleaning rod enclosed, smooth walnut stock and hand guard.

Overall good estate condition, old brown gun patina throughout, surface rust present on extractor and shoulder of receiver, bore is dingy and frosted, action is smooth and precise, 2 in. crack along left side of stock between action and trigger guard, sling reported to be original to the gun, minimal screw slot damage, elevation adjustment of rear sight is fully functional.
