BURTON present on 43 1/2 in browned octagon barrel with dovetail front and rear sights, personalization text of G R DOUGLAS present on barrel, text of 45 CAL present on barrel, flintlock mechanism with double set triggers, silvered ferrules, cap, trigger guard, escutcheons, sideplate, buttplate and patch box, dogwood flower in sunburst inlay above cheek rest, carved 60 in. tiger maple stock, wooden ramrod.

Overall good estate condition, browned surfaces remain clean and well preserved, stock finish is healthy, scattered handling marks throughout, patch box surround somewhat raised above surface of the wood with sharp edges, lock work not operational by hammer tumbler and sear not interfacing well.
