Tony Griffin is a North Carolina–based painter whose work reflects a deep engagement with observation, memory, and lived experience. Classically trained, Griffin studied and worked in Florence, Italy, and later established his career in North Carolina, where he continues to paint landscapes, interiors, and figures inspired by the people and places around him. His work balances strong academic foundations with a loose, perceptive approach to paint handling, emphasizing atmosphere and personal response to subject matter.
